New Delhi and Govt. of Haryana and is affiliated to one of the premier University , Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. SWAMI DEVI DYAL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY is a precious gift offered to Society by Er. Roshan Lal Jindal (Chairman), a renowned and professional Industrialist. It has got itself in a Prominent Position within a short span of four years owing to the humble guidance of Er. Moti Lal Jindal (Vice Chairman) of the Governing Body. The Institution has exhibited its supremacy by showing exemplary university results in which many of its students have secured the top positions in the University . The far - sightedness, dynamicity of Mr. Ashok Jindal , Mr. Amit Jindal and Mr. Parveen Garg have helped in bringing up this Institute to the present level of Excellence.
Endeavour done by Dr. Y. C Chopra, (Former Head Electronics & Communication Engg. Department, Punjab Engineering College ) to enlighten the institute is simply matchless, His teaching expertise and research orientation are well known in the academic circle. He is on the academic bodies of the various universities of the country and on the advisory committees & the Boards of Studies of in Telecommunication and Information Tech. of Punjab University and is member of Academic council of I P University Delhi . The management skills of Prof. Chopra are reflected by his being the Member of the Board of Management of GGS Indraprasth University Delhi . He has been the honorary Director of Punjab Recordus and has held very prominent positions in the organizations of electronics & computer of CDAC , ETDC, DOEACC center, CSIO and many more. This college has the unique distinction of filling all the sanctioned seats in all the years of its existence

Institution is sprawled over 41 acres of land. The architecture of the college is unique in terms of the placement of various blocks including Administrative Block , Academic Blocks, IT Block, Workshops, Boys Hostel, Girls Hostel, Faculty House, Auditorium, Computer Center, Power House and Temple. The institution is presently offering 4 years B.Tech courses of Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering , Information Technology , Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. It is on its way to widen the horizon of knowledge by adding Biotechnology and other disciplines of emerging areas .

The Latest and ultra modern equipment is installed in various laboratories of the college. The laboratories of Physics, Chemistry, Electronics & Bio - Technology are equipped as per the latest revised curriculum of Kurukshetra University for Engineering Disciplines . The Computer center is centrally Air Conditioned with the latest computer systems and Licensed software . The center is fully networked and has latest internet facility by way of RF connectivity through Radio Modem, providing more than 10 hrs. per week of internet access to the students . Various workshops of the college namely Machine , Foundry , Fitting , Welding, Carpentry, Pattern making shops are spacious & well equipped. Acclimatization with the diverse industry processes such as Machining and Testing is furnished by the well equipped laboratories and workshops.
